Well, this week's episode... was okay... I mean, after the super awesome Tails focused episode last week, this one was a bit... eh... I mean, it was still pretty funny and ridiculous, just not all that great compared to last week.

With that said, here's my review of the new episode of Sonic Boom, which aired on August 29th, 2015.

"Bro-Down Showdown"

The episode starts at Amy's house where Amy was polishing her hammer until she hears a knock on the door. She opens it and it was Leroy the Mail Turtle giving Amy a telegram telling her that she has won the Most Selfless award... to which Amy greedily snatches the telegram away, causing Leroy to fall backwards on his shell! :XD: As Sonic & Knuckles were visiting Amy, she tells them that she submitted herself for the award that she won. As Knuckles wondered if that's even legal, considering that was a selfish act to win a selfless award, Amy responded by saying that in this life, you've gotta look out for number one. (Oh, the irony. :XD: ) As Amy packed up to go pick up her award, Sonic suggested that he and Knux could house sit for her while she's away. Amy's skeptical about this, since the last time she trusted them to watch her house, she found a family of skunks living in the crawl space. And what's wrong with skunks? They're cute. Just don't scare them. Sonic pleads to Amy, saying he needs a change of scenery from his perfect oceanside view from his house, while Knuckles just wants to watch Cable TV. (Knux prefers cable, huh? Maybe he's not as dumb as people think. :D ) After the two beg Amy some more, she finally agrees, saying that she's feeling extremely selfless. However, if they do anything foolish while she's gone, Amy tells them they will face her wrath. She finishes packing and leaves saying good-bye sweetly. (I love how Amy's emotions went from greed to threatening to sweet almost instantly. :D ) Only a few seconds after she leaves, Sonic asks Knuckles if he wanted to do something foolish, to which Knuckles immediately agreed to. Knuckles, lifting a stone slab, throws it with Sonic riding it like a surfboard. Sonic swings around a support beam and grinds the slab across the wall, across the kitchen counter, knocking over a vase which lands on the couch, bounces off a another ancient stone slab, bumping across a large snowglobe, which causes Sonic to fall and land on the couch next to the vase, and Knuckles ends up catching the stone slab he threw. Amazing thing was... Nothing Was Broken! :XD: So, the two decided to celebrate this by having nachos! As they ate cheese covered nachos on Amy's couch, Knuckles accidently spills some cheese on the couch! (Oh, no...) Sonic, thinking it's just a small stain, tries to wipe the cheese off with a cloth... That made it worst... Knuckles tells Sonic that seltzer gets out stains. Sonic ran around, but couldn't find the seltzer. He holds a bottle of grape soda, thinking that would work since they both have bubbles... News flash: it didn't work! Knuckles then has the idea to take the damp couch outside so it could dry quicker. Problem was, the couch was too dang big to fit through the front door, which caused them to rip it slightly. After they bring the couch back inside, they start to worry that Amy will annihilate them when she sees what they did to her couch. That's when a commercial played on TV, as Comedy Chimp was talking about the game show, "Bro-Down Showdown," and how auditions to be contestants will be held in the village square, where the show will be taped this weekend. As Sonic saw this opportunity, Eggman, with his fly bot spying inside, comes up with a new plan. Later, as Sonic, Knuckles, and several other villagers waited on line to audition, Eggman, with Orbot in tow, proclaimed that he would be auditioning along with his, as he puts it, bro-bot. Suddenly, the television producer (who is the same evil jerk from the "Battle of the Boy Bands" episode), showed up and just rejected people for dumb reasons... He even rejected Sonic & Knuckles, saying he wasn't getting enough of a bro vibe. As Eggman laughs and taunts, Sonic tells him that there's no way that producer would go with his unruly moustache and his dainty lame-bot. As Eggman began threating Sonic, the producer put a stop to it, saying that he didn't want bickering in his audition... and to save it for the show. Apparently, he wants Sonic & Eggman to be bros?! Sonic tries to explain that Eggman's his enemy, Eggman goes along with this, wanting to be on TV. Sonic, desperate to try and win this couch for Amy before she gets back home, is left with no choice but to go through with it. Needless to say, Knuckles was disappointed. On the day of the show, Knuckles made it as a contestant as well, bringing Mike (from the "Just A Guy" episode) with him, just to spite Sonic for ditching him, but that just gave Sonic the idea that it was a brilliant move by Knux, since it gives them double the chances to win that couch for Amy. Comedy Chimp, the host of the game show, welcomes everyone and introduces the contestants: Sonic & Eggman, Knuckles & Mike, the two bears who appeared in the "Circus of Plunders" episode, and Dave & Lady Walrus? Okay... The game basically works the same way like "The Newlywed Game" as the bros guess how well they know their bud. The first question was for Eggman, asking what Sonic's favorite movie. Knuckles, whispering to Mike, says that it's "Croctopotamus." (Clearly a crack at the cheesy SyFy original movies such as Sharktopus.) Eggman says that he recalls something as Sonic was pummeling him with a severed drone arm ( :XD: ) that he mentioned "Space Pigeons" so he guesses "Space Pigeons 2", since it was the best out of the trilogy. He got it right! (What?!) Sonic was surprised at this. Eggman tells him that you gotta know your enemy, especially when he's your bro. He then noogies him... and ends up hurting his own hand in the process. :D Comedy Chimp then asks the two bears a question, but they just ended up growling and fighting each other. (So those were REAL bears?! I thought they were anthropomorphic like everyone else in the series!) This caused them to be disqualified as it was in clear violation of the bro code. Comedy Chimp then asks Knux what Mike's answer was to this question: A bro would never do what to another bro? Knuckles just answers by saying totally ditch him to appear on a game show with his arch nemesis! Mike's answer was actually never eat the last cheese ball without asking. Later, Comedy Chimp asks Sonic what kind of food would your bro be. Sonic just joked around and said an egg. Turns out, he was right! Comedy Chimp then asks Knuckles what did Mike say when asked what color he was. Even Knuckles knew the answer was red... except for the fact that Mike was color blind and said green... (Are You Kidding Me?!) Comedy Chimp then asks Lady Walrus what Dave's occupation was, to which she answers that he works in the fast food industry. Dave tells him he said evil villain bent on destroying the world... and... the judges said they would accept that answer! (WTF?! Clearly a call back to the "Next Top Villain" episode...) Next, Sonic was asked what Eggman would do if he ever left town. And... obviously, the answer was destroy the village. Eggman even added that he'd reduce everyone to a smoldering pile of ash... and he gets cheered for it! I'm beginning to think this is taking place in Brooklyn thousands or millions of years ago. Because, based on my experience being a part of the crowd in the Barclays Center for WWE SummerSlam & Monday Night RAW, the crowd was cheering for the people they're supposed to boo! Why do I say this? Because the crowd cheered after Eggman made that comment! The first round came to an end and, unfortunately, since Knuckles & Mike had the lowest score they were... Ugh... Bro-liminated. (Okay, I'm having enough of these bro lingos now...) Suddenly, Eggman's Obliterator Bot stomps through the village, causing mass panic. Sonic was about to fight it, but then Comedy Chimp informs him that if he fights Eggman's robot, that'll be grounds for a disqualification. (What kind of moron judges are working this thing?) Eggman had this planned all along! Either he fights the robot and risk losing the chance to win that couch for Amy or keep playing and risk the village getting destroyed. Knuckles volunteers to fight the robot. Comedy Chimp, informed that he won't get paid unless they finish this show, continues with the program. As Sonic was asked what Eggman is keeping in his pockets, Knuckles holds his own against Eggman's robot as he used a table leg as a baseball bat to divert the robot's missile fire. Sonic, not even worried about the game, just spurted out a hippo on a skateboard... Turns out, Eggman had a toy hippo on a skateboard in his pocket. (Seriously?!) When Eggman was asked the next question, he was clearly stalling! Knuckles ends up being pinned down by the robot as it prepares its laser to fire at him. Sonic, realizing his true bro is more important than winning some dumb couch, says the heck with it as he races off and saves Knuckles. As Sonic grabbed a piece of metal from the set, he asks Knux if he's ready to do something stupid. Knux replies by saying do you really need to ask. Knuckles then throws the piece of metal with Sonic riding it like a surfboard. He then spindashes on the metal before kicking it at a high velocity, causing it to go through the robot's head. As Eggman was frustrated for losing... twice... Dave & Lady Walrus wins the couch... which they immediately ruin by spilling nacho cheese on it. Now the only problem is... what to do about Amy's couch? As Amy made her way back home with her ill-gotten trophy in her hand, Leroy, still in front of her house, finally manages to pick himself back up. As Amy opens the door, Sonic yells out to her. As Amy sees Sonic & Knuckles running towards her, she also sees the missile flying towards her! She ducks and the missile explodes behind her, knocking Leroy down on his back again! :XD: Sonic & Knuckles soon arrive to see... that the missile blew up Amy's couch! :D Sonic & Knuckles quickly laid the blame of the destruction of the couch on Eggman and leaves. Guess you could say that's the well placed definition of karma... :XD:

Well, this episode was pretty funny though. It was pretty cool having an episode focused on Sonic & Knuckles. And all about trying to replace a couch, too. I like how Knuckles wasn't too stupid in this one. He knew about seltzer getting out stains, he knew what color he was, and he knew that what he was about to do with Sonic was foolish and stupid, but he chose to do it, anyway. Plus, the fact that Amy acted selfish to win a selfless award and ends up getting her couch destroyed was pretty hilarious. And the fact that Leroy was on his back this whole time! That was funny! :D

So, yeah. Funny episode. Not as great as last week, but still pretty cool. As to where was Tails... My guess is, he's on a date with Zooey right now... :D BTW, I checked out the Sonic Wiki page and I think the voice of Tails also did the voice of Zooey. That is hilarious to me...

Again, if you're wondering why I'm cool with this Tails/Zooey thing, just check out my journal on my theory on the Sonic Boom series: Sonic Boom: Tales from the Past? Until then, I'll be back next week for the another Sonic Boom review.

Hey, everyone. Sorry it took me a while to do this. My body's still recovering from the roller coaster known as SummerSlam & Monday Night RAW from the Barclays Center. I had a blast and will be putting up pics later.

Right now, though, I'd like to talk about Sonic Boom. In the last Sonic Boom review journal, I had said that I have a theory when it come to the series. That theory is that everything in the series takes place in the past and the characters are the past ancestors of the original characters from the modern era. The proof lies within the very world they reside in, since it has a very old look to it, meaning, other than the tech we see Tails & Eggman use, there's hardly any technological advancements in that world.

Another piece of proof could be seen in the differences between certain characters (Modern version to Boom version)... like... well, the elephant in the room, Knuckles. Now we all know the story of how ancient echidnas were, with the Knuckles' tribe and the Nocturnus tribe (or the Dark Legion if you're still pissed at Penders), but what if the events of Sonic Boom took place LONG before the events of Chaos making the echidna species nearly extinct. It might explain the drastic intelligence change for Knuckles: maybe ancient echidnas were not the brightest back then, like cavemen for humans. It is interesting that Angel Island was mentioned in the series, but nothing else, like the Master Emerald.

Now think about this: Remember how I said that Tails had primitive versions of Extreme Gear in some episodes? What if the Tails in the Boom series was the first to invent them? It wouldn't surprise me, considering the version of Tails in the modern era was so used to hooking up these Extreme Gear in the first Sonic Riders game, despite the fact that they had no experience riding them before encountering the Babylon Rogues.

So, again, it could stand to reason that everything that takes place in Sonic Boom could have happened hundreds, heck, maybe thousands of years before the events of the modern era of the Sonic series. Why else would we have initially thought that Sticks was Marine? For all we know, Sticks could be the past ancestor of Marine. Is your mind blown yet?

So, yeah. That's my theory on the Sonic Boom series. Thoughts? Questions? Just leave them in the comments section. :)

Oh, man! That episode of Sonic Boom was awesome! First off, it was a Tails focused episode, which we haven't had for a while, and it showed him being a badass! Plus... they hooked him up with a new love interest...

Now, I know what you're thinking: "Dude, how could you have liked this episode? Don't tell me you're forsaking the Tails/Cosmo coupling." To that I say, no. I'm still a TailsMo fan and consider it to be the OTP for Tails, but I have my own theory when it comes to the Sonic Boom series. But, I'll talk more about it later.

Right now, here's my review of the new episode of Sonic Boom, which aired on August 22nd, 2015.

"Tails' Crush"

This episode starts in the desert as Sonic & Knuckles were preparing to perform a record-breaking wheelbarrow run. As Sonic held on to Knuckles' legs, Knux believes he would have no problem doing with his hands what Sonic is known for with his feet... until Tails gives them the signal to go. In a few seconds, Knuckles' slips and ends up getting dragged by Sonic! Soon after Knuckles got back into the groove of things, Sonic runs through a cactus field! And then leads Knux through the valley of broken glass! :XD: (So, cacti & broken glass! More proof Knux should have won the DEATH BATTLE! against DK!) As soon as they cross the finish line, Sonic asks Tails what their time was... only Tails was staring off in the distance. As Tails snapped out of it and asked if they could start over since he didn't press stop on his stopwatch. Fortunately for Knuckles, Amy contacts Sonic via his wrist communicator to inform him that Eggman has finally lost it and to get here quick. In seconds, Sonic joins Amy & Sticks as they and other residents of the village watch to see Eggman... complaining at the post office about a package not arriving to him, because he was taking a shower! :D When Eggman asked the turtle behind the counter (whom I believe is Leroy, first appearing in the "My Fair Sticksy" episode) why they left a note saying he missed the delivery instead of just leaving the package, he responded that a signature is needed to receive the package. As Knuckles joins the gang, Eggman signs his name on the paper and gives it to Leroy... who then says he needs the note they left him! Apparently the signature's only good if the package is being delivered to his lair... Eggman, frustrated by this, sends his Decimator Bot (A new robot design, this time, I'd like to point out as well.) to attack Leroy who tells Eggman that doing this will not get him his package any sooner. Soon, Tails' plane is seen flying overhead. Sonic contacts Tails and tells him to execute the "Speeding Swing Surprise" maneuver. The very same technique we saw in the very first episode, "The Sidekick", only... there was no enerbeam whip for Sonic to grab onto, causing him to fall in a crate of watermelons! With that, they went with Plan B, as Amy smashed the robot's arm off with her hammer while Sticks rescued Leroy. Since Tails was apparently M.I.A., he called to Knuckles for some special double team action. Knux was on fours behind the robot. Sonic spindash attacked the robot, making it go back and fall over Knuckles! Nice to see they're utilizing an old trick D-Generation X used! :XD: Knux then goes for another wheelbarrow race, by dragging the robot out of the village! :D As Eggman leaves, proclaiming that he'll be back with that note, Sonic approaches Tails, asking him what had happened, since he never missed a cue before. Once again, Tails just stared off. Sonic looks over and sees what Tails is looking at: A female fox in a burgundy dress named Zooey. (I believe we saw her first appearance in that "Battle of the Bands" episode.) As Zooey helped put the watermelons back in the crate, she sees Tails and says hello. Tails stutters and says hi and bye as he tries to fly away with his tails. Sonic pulls Tails back down and laughs, putting 2 and 2 together. While Sticks thinks he was hypnotized by man-eating tomatos, Sonic reveals that Tails has a crush on Zooey. Tails tries (and fails) to deny it, then he says he's having trouble just talking to her. While Amy & Sticks found this to be adorable, Sonic offered to help Tails out by giving him some dating advice. At Sonic's house, Sonic tells Tails that in order to talk to girls, he'll have to play it cool and not show interest. He continues to tell Tails that if a conversation does happen, then be sarcastic and say a witty one-liner. Sonic demonstrates this with someone playing a girl... and that someone was Comedy Chimp in drag. MY EYES!!!!! The demonstration basically showed Sonic acting like one of those hunky emo boys you see in teen dramas or something like that. This makes me wonder if that is what (this version of) Amy sees in him? :XD: Back at the post office, Eggman gives Leroy the note, saying he found it in the dumpster behind his lair. While Leroy heads to the back to get Eggman's package, Eggman sees Tails following up on Sonic's advice... with zero results. Leroy then informs Eggman that his package wasn't there and that it's out for delivery due to the fact that supposedly no one came to pick it up! :XD: Later, Tails went to Knuckles for advice. As he was lifting weights made of stone, Knux told Tails that he had to act manly. Do stuff like lift weights, eat red meat, and take up woodworking. Tails doubts that doing these things will impress the ladies... until he sees a couple of women impressed with Knuckles as they wave at him. At Meh Burger, while Eggman is on the phone with the postal service and finds out his package has been re-routed to Guatemañana, he sees Tails flexing his muscles to Zooey as he tries to impress her with his (lack of) knowledge about the wooden table. Dave then gives Tails a Meh Steak, extra rare. He also gives Tails a toy pencil to go with the meal, to which he happily says that it'll go great with his notebook. Embarrassed at how childish he acted just now, he quickly leaves. Later, at Amy's house, Amy explains to Tails that in order to learn about what women want, he should take a woman's advice... to which Tails asked if she knew a woman! :XD: After Amy angrily reminded Tails that she's a woman, she tells him that women enjoy someone who is romantic and chivalrous, like in the movies. She plays a clip from "Phantom of the Opera" as a demonstration. Tails thinks he gets the idea. The next day, Tails arrives at Zooey's house... wearing a "Phantom of the Opera" attire, complete with mask! :XD: As Zooey looks out the window and Tails tries to be poetic... and fails, Eggman chases a mail truck, saying he knows his package is in that truck and he wants it. Leroy informs Eggman that once the package is in the truck, it has to be delivered to it destination. As Eggman gets frustrated again, he sees Tails' failure to woo Zooey once again. Later, at Sticks' burrow, Tails seeks Sticks' advice... which was basically a primitive dating ritual that involves dancing in public while wearing colorful feathers. Now, I know Tails couldn't possibly think that... and that's exactly what he did in the village square as he danced and cawed like a bird. As the villagers laughed, Zooey just left. As Tails was depressed, Eggman proclaimed that he couldn't stand to watch this trainwreck anymore and offers to give advice to Tails. Tails is skeptical since he is their enemy, but Eggman replies by saying that in a situation like this, the bro code outweighs the rivalry. He basically tells Tails to stop trying to act like someone else and just be himself... and to ditch the feathers. :D Leroy finally delivers the package to Eggman. Turns out it was a background music generator, just so Eggman can use it as he makes his attacks. With that said, intense music started to play as Eggman's began attacking the village. As Eggman was rocking out to his own music, Tails, armed with a wrench, destroyed every last Motobug. He then sees one of Eggman's robots grab Zooey. As Sonic and the others arrived, Sonic tried to form a plan of attack... before Tails, in his plane, interrupted, saying he's got this handled. He flies in and fires his lasers, blasting the robot's arm off into pieces as Zooey fell. Activating his enerbeam whip, Tails manages to have caught Zooey and put her in his plane. Tails then fires one more laser, destroying Eggman's robot once and for all. As Tails landed and Eggman shut off his music, Zooey thanks Tails and hugs and kisses him. As Eggman gloats about how his advice worked, the episode ends with Tails & Zooey holding each others' hands.

This episode was pretty awesome! Seeing Tails, who's normally smart with machines, was completely clueless in this scenario was hilarious! I enjoyed seeing Eggman get frustrated over a package, too. I would love to see future episodes with Zooey & Tails together, like maybe a double date with Sonic & Amy?

Now, why would I like this when I'm a solid Tails/Cosmo fan? Well, I have a theory with the Sonic Boom series. I believe it takes place in the past and the characters featured are past ancestors of the original characters in the modern world. I'll explain more in another journal later. Right now, I have to get ready. WWE SummerSlam is tomorrow and I have to get ready to get to go. Until next time, everybody, see ya.

Maybe. If I can make a hypno story that doesn't involve explicit sex, then yeah, it'll be here. :D

According to something I read, it seems that Sonic Boom will be set for 52 episodes, and as of today, 38 have aired. It is rumored a second season will air... but... that makes me worried. How about you?

I'm not worried. I know they'll hook up a second season of Sonic Boom. There's been a lot of positive feedback for the animated series, despite the reviews for the games and the fact that the Boom comic series will be ending (or merged with the Sonic Universe series, I'm not sure...).

You know how Sonic Boom has had a decent time as of late? ...sadly it's only for two weeks.

Yeah, but maybe it'll be a sign and they'll change the time slot to maybe 9:00.

I will say this, Cartoon Network advertised the heck out of Sonic Boom's 2 weeks of new episodes.

Just a question for the Sonic comics you make. Will there be a plot involving marriage and families at all? Just curious.

No prob. After seeing some of your vids on YouTube and seeing those figures you made, those looked really cool. I really liked those Cosmo & Shade figures you made. I might consider paying for those.

Amy, Cosmo, & Shade are my favorite Sonic female characters and it would be crazy super epic to have figures of them. :iconteamgfsclub:
